EUGENE, Oregon — Eugene police issued a safety alert after a teen girl reported a man following here in the Fox Hollow area.
It was reported Saturday, November 18, that a 15-year-old girl got off an LTD bus at 4400 Fox Hollow Road and a man exited the bus at the same time, Eugene Police Department says.
According to the report, he walked behind her, including down a private driveway.
The man walked away as neighbors arrived in the area. He never spoke to or acknowledged the girl and she did not recognize him, police said.
The man is described as white, in his 30s, and 5’7” to 5’9”, bald or with short-cropped hair, and last seen wearing a long-sleeved top and pants.

These kinds of incidents are terrifying for women and girls. Men following women almost always leads to serious danger for the women. Unfortunately, there are people out there who have bad intentions. So here’s how to help keep yourself safe:
- Always be aware of your surroundings and eliminate distractions or items that limit your ability to watch your environment
- If you feel a little danger, call 9-1-1
- Walk on those streets where there are many people, and, also, walk-in lighted areas
- If anything, feel free to scream out loud and make as much noise as you can
- Don’t let anyone strange your surroundings. Keep distance between yourself and people you don’t wish to approach you.
