Eugene – The motorcyclist killed in a crash on Thursday night on the Ferry Street Bridge. According to police, the motorcyclist has been identified as David Andrew Varin, 26, of Springfield.
 
Varin died because his motorcycle crashed at 10:58 p.m. between the East Sixth Avenue ramp and East Eighth Avenue. Other motorists tried to help the motorcyclist, but he died at the scene.
 
Therefore, the road was closed for several hours while Eugene police examined. The cause of the crash has not been released by the police.
 
The motorcyclist Varin graduated from Thurston High School in 2009 and entered Oregon State University in 2016, told Varin father on Monday.
